This document is a privacy statement for Sue’s Sparklers and discloses the privacy practices for http://www.suessparklers.com.

Sue’s Sparklers is the sole owner of the information collected on this site.  We will not sell, share, trade, or rent this information to other companies, individuals, etc. in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Sue’s Sparklers collects information from our users at several different points on our Web site.

Sue’s Sparklers offers an opt-in e-mail-based newsletter sign-up. To register a user is required to give their e-mail address.  This e-mail address is the only piece of information requested and the sole use of the e-mail address is for the purpose of sending the newsletter to the recipient.  We will not sell, share, trade, or rent this information to others.

Users who no longer wish to receive our e-mail-based newsletter may opt-out of receiving these communications at any time by following the “to unsubscribe” information on the bottom of all e-mail-based newsletters.

We request information from the customer at time of checkout. The customer must provide contact information (such as their name and shipping address) and, if paying by credit card, financial information (such as credit card number and expiration date).  This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders.  If we have trouble processing an order, we use this information to contact the customer. If you do not wish to provide your e-mail address, you may provide an address of “nobody@nobody.com".  We will not sell, share, trade, or rent this information to others.

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are the numerical equivalent of the ISP of visitors (for instance, “24.4.255.200“). IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

We use an outside shipping company to transport orders to customers (the United States Post Office, etc.), the shopping cart services of VirtualCart®, and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

This web site contains links to other sites (such as craft show promoters). Since these companies are separate from Sue’s Sparklers we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site as this privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.

Our message board, requests your name and e-mail address to be included with your message.  By the very nature of a message board, your name and e-mail address is displayed with your message.  If you like, you can enter a nickname, bogus e-mail address, etc.  If you have a specific question, you may always contact Sue’s Sparklers directly.

This Web site takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our shopping cart asks for sensitive information (such as address or credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL.  While on a secure page, such as our shopping cart checkout, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are on a regular Web page.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line.  All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our store.  Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for instance, one of our employees filling a customer order) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
